This policy explains the cookies Kerb uses. We keep them to the minimum needed to run the service.
These sign you in and keep the service secure. Kerb will not work without them, so they do not require your consent.
| Cookie | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
wordpress_logged_in_*, wordpress_sec_* | Keeps you signed in to your account | Session, or up to 14 days if you stay signed in |
wp-settings-* | Remembers interface preferences | Up to 1 year |
kerb_consent | Remembers your cookie choice so we stop asking | 6 months |
kerb_pending | Remembers a vehicle you checked on our home page, so we can offer to add it once you are signed in | 7 days |
To see which pages and which adverts work, Kerb counts visits on its own server: which page was opened, the campaign name in the link you followed (if any), how far down the page people scroll, and whether they check a vehicle or press the sign-up button. Nothing is stored on your device for this, and we keep no IP address or identifier — only daily totals. These counts never leave our server and are not shared with anyone. If you then create an account through such a link, we note the campaign name on your account so we know which campaign brought you.
If you choose Only essential on the cookie bar (or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal), we do not count your visits and do not note a campaign on your account. You can change your choice at any time: change my cookie choice.
If you arrive from one of our adverts and accept cookies, we keep the link's click identifier and campaign name in first-party cookies, so that when you later create an account we can tell which advert paid for it.
| Cookie | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
kerb_gclid | The Google advert click identifier from the link you followed | 90 days |
kerb_utm_source, kerb_utm_campaign, kerb_utm_content | Which campaign and advert the link belonged to | 90 days |
We advertise Kerb online, and we want to know which ads actually bring people in and where our pages confuse people. If you press Accept on the cookie bar, we load tags from Meta, Google and Microsoft Clarity that set the cookies below. If you press Only essential, these tags are never loaded and none of these cookies are set. Any personal data we send alongside these events (such as your email address) is hashed with SHA-256 before it leaves our server.
| Cookie | Set by | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
_fbp, _fbc | Meta | Links an ad click to a sign-up so we can measure the campaign | Up to 90 days |
_ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics | Counts visits and measures how people move through the site | Up to 2 years |
_gcl_* | Google Ads | Attributes a sign-up to a Google ad click | Up to 90 days |
_clck, _clsk | Microsoft Clarity | Records how pages are used (clicks, scrolling) so we can fix what gets in the way; form fields and numbers are masked | Up to 1 year |
Meta, Google and Microsoft act as our partners for this measurement and may also use the data for their own purposes under their own policies. See our Privacy Policy for the legal detail.
To withdraw consent, change your cookie choice and pick “Only essential” (deleting the kerb_consent cookie in your browser does the same). You can also email us at ondra.k5566@gmail.com and we will confirm what we hold.
When you make a payment you are taken to a secure checkout hosted by our payment provider, which sets its own cookies needed to process the payment. When you choose “Continue with Google”, Google sets its own cookies as part of signing you in. Those cookies are governed by their own policies.
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, but blocking essential cookies will stop you signing in.
