The problem

A missed renewal is a van that can’t earn.

For a small fleet, one slipped date isn’t paperwork — it’s a fine, a vehicle off the road, and a job you can’t do.

Monday, 6:40. It has to start — and it has to be legal.

Fines stack up fast

Driving without a valid MOT or tax can cost up to £1,000 each — before you’ve even lost a day’s work.

⛔

Vans get grounded

No MOT means no road. A grounded vehicle is missed jobs, let-down customers, and lost income.

📑

Spreadsheets don’t scale

Sticky notes and a shared spreadsheet work for two vans. At fifteen, something always slips through.

How it works

Three steps. Then you stop thinking about it.

1

Add your vehicles

Type in a number plate — no long forms, no manual data entry. Kerb fills in the make, model and dates for you.

2

We pull the data

Kerb fetches your live MOT dates straight from the DVSA, and you add insurance renewals once.

3

You get reminded

A text and an email land 30, 14 and 7 days before anything expires — across your whole fleet.

What lands on your phone

The van, the deadline, the date. In one text.

Every reminder says which vehicle, what’s due and when — 30, 14 and 7 days before, by text and by email. You know what to do without opening anything.

  • ✓ The reg and the exact date, in one line
  • ✓ 30, 14 and 7 days before every MOT and insurance renewal
  • ✓ The same reminder by email, with a link to the vehicle

Text reminders come with every paid plan and the 14-day trial. On the Free plan, reminders come by email.

What you get

Everything your fleet’s deadlines need. Nothing it doesn’t.

🚚

Your whole fleet, one screen

Why Kerb

Real data. Reminders you can’t miss.

🏛

Official DVSA data. Your MOT dates come straight from the government’s own MOT history service — not guesswork, not manual entry. Always current.

🔔

Three warnings, two channels. A text and an email at 30, 14 and 7 days before every deadline — so nothing slips through, ever.

🔒

Your data stays yours. UK GDPR-compliant, and we only text you if you opt in. No spam, no reselling, no surprises.

Who’s behind Kerb

A real person, not a call centre.

Kerb is built and run by Ondřej Kaule. Stuck setting up, or not sure it fits your fleet? Email me at ondra.k5566@gmail.com — I read and answer every message myself.

Straight answers

The questions fleet owners actually ask.

It is, and it works — for one vehicle at a time, sent to whoever signed it up. Kerb puts every van on one list, reads each MOT date from the DVSA itself, and watches the insurance dates you enter as well.

MOT dates come live from the DVSA’s official MOT history service — the same data the government’s own checker uses. Insurance dates aren’t in any public record, so you enter each one once. Road tax isn’t tracked yet: the DVLA’s register is closed to new services, and we’ll add it when it opens.

Your account moves to the Free plan and nothing is charged — we never asked for a card. Every vehicle you’ve added keeps its email reminders for 30 days. After that, Free keeps reminders on 2 of them (the first two you added) and pauses the rest until you pick a plan; they stay on your list with their dates. Text reminders stop when the trial ends.

Cancel any time from your account — no calls, no lock-in. And every paid plan has a 14-day money-back guarantee: tell us within 14 days of your first payment for a plan and we refund that payment in full.

No tool can promise that — you still book the test and renew the cover. What Kerb does is make sure you know every date early enough to do it: 30, 14 and 7 days before, for every vehicle.

For every vehicle, Kerb sends an email 30, 14 and 7 days before each MOT and insurance date — and a text as well on paid plans and during the trial. You can change the timing in Settings.

No. You run Kerb from one dashboard in the browser, and there’s no app for anyone to install. Reminders come to you.

The Fleet plan covers up to 50. If you run a larger operation, get in touch and we’ll set up a plan that fits.

Never miss an MOT again.
