The service

Kerb tracks vehicle compliance dates (MOT data from the DVSA, plus insurance and other dates you enter) and sends reminders by email and, if you opt in, SMS. Reminders are sent 30, 14 and 7 days before a deadline by default; you can change which of those you receive in Settings.

Kerb is software delivered over the internet — there is no physical product and nothing is shipped. You use it in a web browser at this website.

  • How long it lasts: a paid plan runs for the period you buy — one calendar month or one year, as chosen at checkout, renewing automatically for the same period until you cancel. A free account lasts until you close it. Access ends when the paid period you last paid for ends.
  • What you need to use it: a device with an internet connection and a current web browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge), plus a working email address. SMS reminders additionally need a mobile number you have verified. Nothing needs installing and there is no DRM or copy protection.
  • Where it works: see Limits on what we can do below.

Reminders are a convenience, not a guarantee

You remain responsible for keeping your vehicles legal and compliant. Kerb is a helper, not a substitute for your own checks. We rely on data from third parties (the DVSA) and on the dates you enter, and we cannot guarantee that every message is delivered on time or at all (for example if a phone number is wrong, a network fails, or a data source is unavailable). Always verify important dates directly with the DVSA and your insurer.

Your account

  • You must give accurate information and keep your password secure.
  • You may only add vehicles you own or are entitled to manage.
  • You must not misuse the service, attempt to access other customers’ data, scrape or resell the vehicle data we show you, or overload our systems.
  • You must be 18 or over, and if you sign up on behalf of a company you confirm you are authorised to do so.

Plans, prices and billing

  • Free and paid plans, and the vehicle limits that apply to each, are set out in full on the pricing page. Free costs nothing. Starter is £9 or 45 zł; Business £19 or 89 zł; Fleet £39 or 179 zł — in the currency shown on the version of the site you buy from.
  • Subscriptions: paid plans are billed monthly or yearly, as chosen at checkout, and renew automatically for the same period until you cancel. A founding customer discount applies to the first year of a yearly plan only; every renewal is charged at the yearly price shown at checkout.
  • The price shown is the total you pay for one billing period — one calendar month or one year — with no setup fee, no per-vehicle charge and no delivery cost. It is the full amount inclusive of any tax that applies. Nothing else is added at checkout.
  • Payments are taken by Stripe.
  • For plans that renew automatically, if a payment fails we may retry it and, if it keeps failing, move your account back to the Free plan.
  • We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice by email; a change never applies to a period you have already paid for, and you can cancel before it takes effect.

How and when your order is fulfilled

The only delivery method is electronic — instant access in your account. There is no postage, no courier and no delivery charge.

  • Free account: available immediately when you finish registering.
  • Paid plan: activated as soon as the payment is authorised — normally within a few minutes of checkout. Where a payment is held for review, the maximum processing time is 1 working day.
  • If your plan has not been activated within that time, email ondra.k5566@gmail.com or call 735544424 and we will either fix it or refund you in full.

Cancelling and refunds — your 14-day right to change your mind

You have 14 days to change your mind, whichever way you paid. The right applies identically however the payment was taken — by Stripe, or by any other method we may offer.

  • How to do it: email ondra.k5566@gmail.com or call 735544424 within 14 days of starting a paid plan, and say you are withdrawing from the contract. No form and no reason are needed. You can also cancel future renewals of a pounds sterling plan yourself at any time from the billing page.
  • There is nothing to send back. Kerb is a digital service, so there is no return address, no goods to post and no return postage for anyone to pay. Withdrawing simply ends your access.
  • When you get your money back: we refund within 14 days of you telling us, using the same payment method you paid with. You are never charged a fee for a refund.
  • 14-day money-back guarantee: if Kerb is not for you, tell us within 14 days of your first payment for a plan and we refund that payment in full — we keep nothing for the days you used it. The guarantee covers the first payment for each plan, not the renewal of a plan you already have; to stop a renewal, cancel before its date.
  • If you cancel rather than withdraw, your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for and then reverts to Free. We do not delete your vehicles when you downgrade, but the Free plan limits apply again.
  • Outside that 14-day right, payments already made are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise, or where we have failed to provide the service.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep Kerb available at all times but we do not promise uninterrupted service — we may need to take it down for maintenance, and third-party data sources can be unavailable. We may add, change or remove features; if a change materially reduces what you have paid for, you can cancel and we will refund the unused part of your period.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for losses arising from a missed reminder, an inaccurate third-party data source, or your reliance on the service instead of your own checks. Where we are liable, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.

Termination

You can close your account at any time; we then delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms, and will tell you why unless we are prevented from doing so.

Limits on what we can do

  • UK-registered vehicles only. MOT data comes from the DVSA, which holds records for vehicles registered in the United Kingdom. A vehicle registered anywhere else cannot be looked up automatically — you can still add it manually and track dates you enter yourself, but we cannot fetch or verify them.
  • Where we sell. Kerb is sold in three versions: in pounds sterling and English for the United Kingdom (kerbfleet.co.uk), in pounds sterling and English for the European Union (kerbfleet.co.uk/eu/), and in Polish złoty and Polish for Poland (kerbfleet.co.uk/pl/). Whichever version you buy from, the service only works for vehicles registered in the United Kingdom.
  • What we do not do. Kerb does not book MOT tests, sell insurance, tax a vehicle or contact the DVSA or DVLA on your behalf. It tracks dates and reminds you.
  • What we need from you before a sale completes. You must be 18 or over, hold a Kerb account with a working email address (you can create one free in a minute), accept these terms, and pay with a method our provider accepts. SMS reminders additionally require a mobile number you have verified — without one, the plan still works but reminders arrive by email only. We may decline or cancel an order if any of these is missing, and we refund anything already paid.

Our promise about the service, and complaints

We owe you a service that works as described here and on the pricing page, provided with reasonable care and skill and free of defects. If it is not — a reminder that should have gone out and did not, a feature your plan includes that does not work, a payment taken wrongly — that is a valid complaint and we will put it right.

How to complain: email ondra.k5566@gmail.com or call 735544424, or write to Ondřej Kaule, Na Hrázi 162/9, 417 41 Krupka, Czech Republic. Tell us what happened, which account or payment it concerns, and what you would like us to do. (This is also the address for any correspondence — there are no goods to return.)

How we put it right: depending on what went wrong, we will repair the fault, restore the service, extend your paid period to cover the time you lost, or refund you in part or in full. Where the fault was ours you always keep the option of a refund.

  • We acknowledge every complaint within 3 working days of receiving it.
  • We reply to it as quickly as we can and in any case within 14 days of receiving it, telling you our decision and how we will put things right.
  • Any refund we agree is paid back the same way you paid, within 14 days of us accepting the complaint.

If we cannot resolve it between us, consumers in the Czech Republic may turn to the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (ČOI, coi.cz), and consumers in the UK keep their own statutory rights.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, where the provider is established. If you use Kerb as a consumer, you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in, including the UK.
